We spent ten days enjoying some of the sights of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo and seeing the beauty of Iguaçu Falls. From the beaches of Copacabana with its wide mosaic-patterned sidewalks, to the forested Floresta da Tijuca, to man-made wonders like the Christ the Redeemer statue, our time in Rio was a delight. A side trip to the incredibly gorgeous Iguaçu Falls was awe-inspiring. We ended our trip in energetic and industrious São Paulo, where favorite sights were visits to the Mercado Municipal and Embu das Artes. But for us, the highlight of the trip was the priceless time we were able to spend with family members.
