We enjoyed two leisurely weeks in Fiji, beginning with a 7-day Blue Lagoon cruise through the Yasawa Islands northwest of Viti Levu, the largest of Fiji's 330 islands, with Dad, Nena, Len, Yelena, and their girls. The white sandy beaches and crystal clear blue waters, along with the warm and friendly crew, made a long-lasting impression. The cruise was followed by five days at the Warwick Resort on the Coral Coast of Viti Levu. We took time off from relaxing to visit a local village, take a jet boat ride on the Sigatoka River, browse the town of Sigatoka and its large municipal market, and tour Kula Eco Park, an ecological preserve featuring Fiji's indigenous plants and animals.
